About M/Y Malena
The gulet Malena is a compact, well-organized luxury boat for private charter in Croatia. At 25 m in length with a 6.4 m beam, it feels larger than its size and is an easy choice for relaxed island-hopping with family or close friends. Malena accommodates 10 guests in 5 cabins and is run by a crew of four, with Šibenik as the home port—ideal for exploring the Dalmatian coast.
Cabin layout includes four double cabins and one twin, each with en-suite bathroom. All cabins provide wardrobes and storage, bathroom and beach towels, hair dryer, 24 V/220 V electricity, and air-conditioning (usage per yacht policy). Bathrooms are modern and comfortable, with shower box, mirror and toiletries. The décor blends warm wood with light linens for a calm, airy feel, and thoughtful lighting makes cabins pleasant both day and night.
Additional Malena description:
The interior saloon is polished and welcoming, combining lounge seating with a bar and entertainment: TV/DVD, USB connectivity, Wi-Fi, and board games—handy for a quiet evening or a cooler day under way. Large windows bring in natural light, and the layout keeps movement easy between the lounge, bar and cockpit, so everyone can gather without feeling crowded.
Outdoor spaces are set up for easy living: a shaded aft dining area with cushioned seating for unhurried meals, plus a wide foredeck with sun mattresses and a forward sofa for reading, sea views, or sunset talks with the captain while planning the next stop. The cockpit’s proximity to the dining table keeps service smooth at mealtimes, and the full awning creates a comfortable retreat during midday heat. On passage, the bow becomes a favorite perch for photographing islands and watching the coastline drift by.
For time on the water, Malena carries a 5.0 m tender (60 HP), waterski and donut/tube towables, 1 kayak, 2 SUPs, snorkeling sets, deck shower, and sun mattresses—a simple but complete kit for swimming bays and short shore runs. Gentle mornings often start with a swim and coffee on deck, while afternoons invite longer paddles along the shore or a quick spin behind the tender. Evenings tend to settle into stargazing on the foredeck and an unhurried nightcap at the stern.
A practical cruise profile of ~10 kn cruising / 12 kn max keeps passages smooth between islands, while the captain, chef and two sailors handle navigation, cuisine and guest service with a friendly, low-key approach. The chef focuses on Mediterranean flavors—fresh fish, seasonal vegetables, grilled specialties—happily adapting menus for preferences and children. Mealtimes can be casual al fresco lunches in the shade or relaxed, multi-course dinners as the anchorage quiets for the night.
Typical itineraries from Šibenik include the nearby islands and the Kornati and Telašćica area for wild bays and clear water, or southbound routes toward Hvar, Brač, Vis, Korčula and Mljet for a blend of lively harbor towns and quiet coves. The crew will suggest stops based on the day’s conditions—sheltered bays when the breeze rises, open anchorages when it’s calm—so your week stays flexible and comfortable.
Families appreciate the straightforward layout, shaded dining and generous deck space; groups of friends enjoy the social flow between the cockpit, saloon and foredeck. With reliable onboard systems, plenty of lounging space and an inviting set of water toys, Malena is designed for exactly the kind of unhurried days that make a gulet charter in Croatia memorable.
Charters typically run weekly in season, with embarkation and route planning arranged to fit your plans. Pack light with soft bags, bring a camera and a good book, and let the crew shape each day around swimming, shore visits and easy cruising. Malena keeps the focus on simple comforts, well-cooked meals and time together—everything you need for a relaxed Adriatic escape.
